Ten couples came together at SS. Cyril and Methodius Seminary on March 16 to become more aware of the covenant aspect of Christian marriage and the religious dimension of family life.

Good marriages don’t just happen. Loving another person — sinful, flawed, and weak — requires patience, forgiveness, communication and lots and lots of grace.

Pope Francis reminded couples of this when he said: “Love is something we learn: love is something we live; love grows as it is forged by the concrete situations which each particular family experiences.”

This Pre Cana program sponsored by the Office of Religious Education consisted of four presentations given by the following gifted presenters:

Love & Life in the Divine Plan-Father Thom Dansakn Elements of a Healthy Marriage-Chris & Amanda Singel

Finances & Budgeting-Mark & Dr. Sandee Collins

The Mystery of Crowning-Father Ron Barusefski, JCD

The ten couples participating in the program were from the following parishes: SS. Peter and Paul, Duquesne, Pa.; St. Michael, Canonsburg, Pa.; St. Nicholas, Youngstown, Ohio; Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Munhall, Pa.;
St. John Chrysostom, Pittsburgh, Pa.; St. John the Baptist, Northern Cambria, Pa.; St. Michael, Campbell, Ohio; St. Mary, Bradenville, Pa.; and Holy Spirit, Oakland, Pa.

May God grant to the participating couples peace, health & happiness for many blessed years!
