Our Mission
As the Vocations Ministry of the Archeparchy of Pittsburgh, our mission is to foster and promote religious vocations in our Byzantine Catholic Church. We do this through a ministry of prayer, affirmation, and support. Prayer for Vocations O Lord Jesus Christ, instill in the hearts of young men and women a willingness to joyfully give their lives for the sake of souls, and call them to your service. Hear my prayer and the prayers of Your Church: send us good, faithful, and holy Priests and Religious to lead your people to their Eternal Happiness. Amen.Members of the Society of Saints Cyril and Methodius join together in praying for vocations and taking part in activities to support our seminarians, deacon students, clergy, religious, and those in formation for religious life.
- Meetings are in person and on Zoom
- Members make a commitment to pray for an increase in vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and religious life.
- In practical ways, we support our seminarians, deacon students, priests, deacons, religious, and those in formation for religious life:
- As individual Prayer Partners of the Seminarians
- Attending ordinations
- Annual Divine Liturgy for deceased clergy and religious
- Social activities throughout the year
- Gatherings for enrichment and spiritual growth
- Assisting and supporting the priest and deacon in our own parish
- We welcome new members. For more information, please contact:
