St. Jeremiah Prophet

St. Jeremiah, the Second of the Greater Prophets, was of the Tribe of Levi.

Tradition states that at age 55 he was stoned to death at Taphnes, Egypt 590 B.C. by the Jews who shared his captivity.  Venice, Italy holds some of his relics.
