Travel by bus with the Archieparchial Choir and join Metropolitan Archbishop William Sunday August 14 at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon for the Byzantine Divine Liturgy in celebration of the Feast of the Dormition of the Holy Theotokos.

National Shrine of our Lady of Lebanon Welcomes Archieparchial Choir, Pilgrims

Join the Pittsburgh Byzantine Catholic Archieparchial Choir Sunday, August 14 as they travel to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon in North Jackson, Ohio for the 51st Annual Assumption Pilgrimage.

Byzantine Divine Liturgy for the Feast of the Dormition will be celebrated by His Eminence Metropolitan Archbishop William Skurla at 7:00 p.m. with responses led by the Archieparchial Choir. The traditional candlelight procession to the tomb and Dormition prayers will commence immediately following the liturgy, led by Rev. Archimandrite Msgr. George Appleyard of the Ukrainian Catholic Church.

A spacious 56-passenger motorcoach operated by Anderson Tours will depart the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Munhall, Pa. at 2:30 p.m. Pilgrims traveling with the choir will arrive at the Shrine at approximately 4:00 p.m. and will have the opportunity to enjoy authentic homemade Lebanese foods and other delights in the Cedars
Dining Hall, stroll the spacious grounds of the Shrine, and visit Metropolitan to celebrate Dormition liturgy Aug. 14 national shrine of our lady of lebanon welcomes archieparchial choir, pilgrims the gift shop prior to the liturgy. The bus will depart the Shrine at 9:30 p.m.; Pilgrims will arrive back at the Cathedral in Munhall at approximately 11:00 p.m.

Transportation via the choir’s tour bus is available for a nominal $20 per traveler. Prepaid reservations can be secured by sending a check made payable to “Archeparchy of Pittsburgh” indicating the number of seat reservations and the name, address, phone number, and email address of each traveler.
