Degree Conferred May 17 to Joshua Van Winkle

Following a Moleben prayer service in honor of SS. Cyril and Methodius, patrons of the Byzantine Catholic Seminary, Archbishop William Skurla conferred a diploma upon Joshua Van Winkle as a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Seminary’s School of Theology on May 17. Board members, faculty, alumni, staff, family and friends were in attendance as Joshua received his diploma.

Alumna Helenanne Hochendoner delivered a brief address and a luncheon honoring the graduate was held following the service. The Seminary rejoices in the accomplishments of this fine individual.

Founded in 1950, the Seminary is a free-standing, English speaking theological seminary, welcoming all those seeking the knowledge possessed by the Eastern ecclesial traditions.

The Seminary is authorized to grant graduate the Master of Arts in Theology and Master of Divinity degrees by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools.
