Holy Trinity, Nativity Parishes Install New Shepherd

Father Vasyl Banyk and Family Welcomed

Parishioners had much to celebrate as their new shepherd, Father Vasyl Banyk, was officially installed as pastor of Holy Trinity Parish in Sykesville and administrator of Nativity of the Mother of God Parish in Dubois, both in Pennsylvania.

Social committees of both parishes are credited for organizing, preparing and executing the gala event. Among the Byzantine clergy in attendance were Very Rev. David A. Bosnich, Father James Ragan, Deacon Luke Crawford, Deacon Paul Boboige, Deacon George Fatula and Deacon Steven White.

Father Vasyl is the 30th pastor to serve Holy Trinity Church over the parish’s 109-year history. He immediately succeeds Father Robert Karl, who recently retired from active ministry.

May God grant Father Vasyl, wife Natalia, daughter Nadia and newborn son Vasyl many blessed years!
